Northern Aerials is a Vancouver-based aerial production company working across commercial, film, tourism, aviation, construction development, and service-based industries. We produce aerial & ground-based visual content that supports marketing, storytelling and documentation needs.

Our approach is shaped by the environments we work in. From film sets and aviation operations to active construction sites and remote locations, our work often requires coordination with multiple teams, strict safety standards, and the ability to adapt quickly to real-world conditions. We focus on clear communication, careful planning, and delivering visuals that integrate smoothly into existing workflows

Who's behind Northern Aerials?

Nick McDonogh is the founder and lead professional drone pilot at Northern Aerials. Originally from Ireland and now a dual Irish-Canadian citizen based in Canada, he is available for projects not only across North America and Europe but also internationally.

With a background in award-winning photography, filmmaking, and construction documentation, Nick works comfortably at the intersection of creative production and real-world operations. His experience includes operating in complex outdoor environments, collaborating with action sports athletes, and supporting organizations such as BC Wildfire Service through drone-based wildfire monitoring. Whether working on a film set, an active construction site, or in remote locations, his focus is on clear communication, situational awareness, and delivering visuals clients can rely on.
